Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the entire staff and faculty, I would like to welcome you to Spring Hill Elementary, home of the Lil’ Raiders.  We are proud to teach approximately 565 Pre-Kindergarten through Fourth grade students. I am eager to move our school forward and continue laying the foundation for your children in Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We intend to integrate technology and arts into our academic curriculum, and our instructional practices will focus on strategies that encourage higher-order thinking and problem solving. Our goal is to meet the needs of all students by personalizing their learning experiences, and ensuring that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers, and creative writers.

Our mission is to provide an appropriate educational environment that will create for our students the basic framework for becoming independent, responsible citizens.
We will strive to reach academic excellency by meeting the Maury County Public Schools’ keys to college and career readiness, and by making the acquisition of knowledge a lifelong goal for both students and educators.

We truly believe parents are an integral part of the learning process, being that you were your child’s first teacher. Thank you for allowing us to extend the learning you began together at home.  You will find many ways to get involved at Spring Hill Elementary. Please join our parent teacher association, attend family literacy and math nights, and attend our principal and parent partnership meetings throughout the school year.  We welcome you to come Teach, Learn, and Grow with us!

Again, I want to welcome you to Spring Hill Elementary.  I look forward to new beginnings and pushing our students to new academic heights.

Sincerely,

Renata Powell, Ed.S
Principal
